Steve Shultz here. I am the YourHub.com community journalist representing the vast and sunny land known as Highlands Ranch. My blog will present a quick synopsis of the hip, and maybe not so hip, happenings in Highlands Ranch and all the great photos and stories posted by residents just like you. Every now and again, I will rant and rave about what deeply interests me, and ask for your personal feedback. We like to be personal here at YourHub.com - YourHub.com is not just some nameless, faceless ghost.

Profile local faces in special print edition

There's a special YourHub.com print edition coming out at the end of this month, and I'd like to put this column to good use by telling you all about it.

It's called Faces of Highlands Ranch, and it will be bursting at the seams with articles about and photos of local people. Each YourHub.com staffer will be writing a profile story about a person who lives and works in Highlands Ranch, Lone Tree and Roxborough, but we want your contributions, too. After all, this is YourHub.com, right?

The articles will be a glimpse into how the subject lives, works or has fun-- a "day in the life," if you will.

Is there someone in the community you'd like to recognize? Maybe it's your dentist, the guy at the carwash or the waitress at Lodo's. Or perhaps somebody who runs story time at the library or the Tattered Cover. Regardless, if there's someone you know who works or lives in Highlands Ranch, Lone Tree or Roxborough that you'd like to write about, I invite you to share your stories on YourHub.com. Oh, and photos are a plus. You can post your stories here.

All Faces of submissions will be considered for the print edition, which will be delivered to subscribers of the Rocky Mountain News and The Denver Post on June 28. That's a Saturday, by the way. Deadline for submissions is June 11.
