It's a been a long time coming, but YourHub.com has been streamlined, redesigned and made generally more awesome.
Here's a quick walkthrough of the changes:
The look
The most noticeable change you've probably already seen is the design. If you're a
Denver Post subscriber and have seen the YourHub.com print section lately (which contains the best of the Web and is delivered to home subscribers of
The Post every Thursday), this look is already familiar to you. Stories, blogs and event listings have all be made easier to read and navigate so you can find the content you want more quickly. Not from Denver? Find your neighborhood with the "Change Location" menu at the top of the page.
Photos
We've improved and enlarged our photo galleries so that we can finally do your great photos justice.
Speed
Software updates and upgrades, not to mention rewriting some code, have made the site snappier and more responsive. This is something we're always striving to improve.
Content
Strong local content from the YourHub.com editorial staff can be found on these home pages, as well as business profiles of stores in your neighborhoods. And of course, the best content posted by you and your neighbors will be front and center.
Tweet, tweet, tweet
If you want an easy way to see the best stories from your neighborhood and other hubs in the metro area, you can follow us on Twitter. We're
@yourhub and we'll be updating links and YourHub.com news all week long (I promise, we won't jam up your feed).
Get started
Now that you've seen all the new bits, it's time to do your part and start posting. If you haven't already,
get registered, then
post a story,
event or
start a blog. We're looking forward to reading your stuff, and so are your neighbors.
Well, what do you think? Let us know your thoughts and suggestions in the comments below.
