I like living in Arvada.I am a member of Trinity Baptist Church and have many good friends there.I lived in the same house in Denver until I married, so as you can see, I am a native. My husband and I adopted 2 Korean sons who are now adults, 1 is a State Patrol Sgt. (Retired), the other is an upholsterer. My husband died Sept.1st,2005. My family is a real blessing to me.I will probably write most about them, especially my great grandchildren (5)

The worst thing about the storm

I didn't mind the huge drifts in my yard. I didn't mind the lack of mail service. I didn't mind not being able to go to the mall ... but oh how I miss my Rocky Mountain News. We didn't get it yesterday or today (Thursday). Today is YourHub.com day and the only day I get up early to get the paper! No paper.

Ron did have some fun along with all the shoveling. He laid down in the front yard and almost disappeared. The snow was up to his hips when he was standing.

There is something about a snowstorm that makes all the neighbors friendly. Ours were all out shoveling, pushing stuck cars and visiting. We finally paid a man to clear the driveway with a snow blower, otherwise we would never get out of the garage!
Our cat, Tommie, is so frustrated. He wants to go outside so much, but when he sticks his nose out the door, he quickly backs up and changes his mind.

Merry Christmas to all of my blogging friends.

Nice reminder of how the storm brings neighbors together! I hope you have Christmas goodies for Tommie, we've got treats for our cat and dog :-)

Gladys - great photos! We had a cat with Tommie's personality, too. Perhaps all cats are as such? Glad you and Ron are fine - enjoy your Christmas!
