Given what is happening in the media after Michael Jackson's demise, even a Dog Blog should probably comment on him. I've learned a couple of things since "The King of Pop" died. First, don't ever die on the same day as a pop icon if you wish any attention. What happened to Farrah? Second, I'm old...
True, I'm not that much older that Jackson himself, and I recall him when he was Black. But I did not know he was with Motown. I was/am a huge Motown fan and thought most of their stuff was Smokie, Ross and the Temps. To lean that MJ was also one of their horses was news.
I don't think he had the effect on the industry that everybody else apparently does. I think his dance moves were his main contribution. I grew up with the Beatles, Motown, the Stones, etc... so even though I am a contemporary of his, I apparently did not follow his music as much as others did.
He is/was alleged to be a child molester. I recall that. I do not recall if he ever had or said anything about a dog. I do know a rottweiller who would make him a good pet.
So I've done my duty. I've mentioned Michael Jackson in a dog blog.
