Musings and Misc nonsense
I just finished up my degree in Business/Marketing (big smile), February 2008. I know I'll need to replace all the great discussions from classes and hope to do that here.. and the occasional rant. Personally, I have a first new grandchild, one 19 yr old left at home... and enjoy online card games.. poker, spades, hearts, euchre.. Oh yeah, I live in Arvada.

First thing I had to do was choose.. Business and Finance.. or Family and Community as a category.. This is a dilemma.. because looking for a job affects both.
My subject of.. Thank God for a job search... was facetious.. It's really tough out there right now. But the way things are, I'm just glad to talk to anybody.
I interviewed this morning.. I think it went well..In fact, It was great. Great to talk to the actual owner of a biz.. (like a CEO, and chat), but you never know. When you get, "We're at the beginning of the process ... lots of resumes coming in from mortgage people," at the second interview, you have to wonder. What does that mean?
I keep trying to decipher what they mean by what they say.. "What does that mean?" Is it real.. or is it (you know what I mean)...? "We'll let you know.. either way.. " and some haven't.. What does that mean?
I've come to think that I'm really lucky to even talk to anyone in this job market.. it's really tough out there. If you have a job.. keep it. You don't want this.
I'd like to think I've done my homework.. I've studied all the articles... I'm using my experience from interviews where I didn't get hired.. I'm picturing myself in the position, positive I can do it well.. I'm staying positive, even..
I'm growing greatly as an interviewee.. Thank God for a job search... It's just, I don't want to be an interviewee as a living..it doesn't pay much.
