Blog Entry 62 of 81 Baseball, football, the Grateful Dead,Jesus and me
Could be politics, religion, music, sports, family life or anything in-between and outside the lines. (I refuse to say "outside the box," even if my chosen line means exactly the same thing) Chronologically, I'm 40. The consensus among those who know me best puts me somewhere between 10 and 13 in terms of maturity. I love listening to Jimmy Buffett, the Grateful Dead, the Allman Brothers and all acts Country (except the Dixie Chicks who offended my long-held,closed-minded view of decent behavior) I have deep, strong beliefs in all things I believe in and sometimes in things I don't. I pride myself in my contradictory nature even though it is a sign of weakness to change one's mind. I have been known to waver more than John Kerry talking about national defense, though I remain steadfast in my beliefs. I am prepared to argue to the death on one issue and one issue alone; Dickey Betts should be allowed back in the Allman Brothers. On this, there is no compromise. I believe in compromise in all other areas so long as the compromise includes everything that I want or believe in. In all seriousness, I am a lucky man, blessed with a wonderful family and an uncanny ability to not care about anything if the situation requires such. I believe that minds are like parachutes in that they have been known to fail their user, albeit with a slightly lower fatality rate. So that's me, or at least that's kind of me. I mean, I felt that way right before I didn't.

"Dumb -O-Crat"?

Some people actually believe that Obama or Clinton stand for them. Sadly, many of those dupes are the same fools who voted for Bill Ritter, only to see him offer legislation to raise fees on the lower and middle class. Way to stick up for the masses! Standard democrat tactic. Get the less-informed to vote for you, then "STICK IT TO 'EM!" I don't feel any better when I say, "I told you so."

It wasn't Clinton.. Clinton only took the credit for what Reagan did.. Reagan put it in place.. Republicans are conservative... take that literally.... It can take years to fix what the Democrats do... It was working till Clinton went into office and screwed it up towards the end.. then... here we go again..fixing what they did...

actually paula, you are quite incorrect. Ronald Reagan took us from under 1 trillion national debt....to OVer 4 trillion. It was Bill Clinton who stopped the Pork Barrel spending and put the Federal Budget in the black (that means gov't. spending LESS than what they take in) for the 1st time in 4 decades. Learn Paula, forget perceptions, learn. Dubbya has taken Pork barrel spending to all time highs, and whether it's a Dem or Republican president next, they will have to increase taxes to start paying the tremendous, horrendous debt that Dubbya leaves behind.

Nevermind Mr. Crandall. His hatred colors his vision. Somehow, he argues with a point I didn't make. Never said that President Bush hasn't inflated the government. I think if we all sit quietly, we can witness Brian having a nice argument with himself. I'll bring the popcorn, Crandall can supply the Kool Aid!

If you watch the pattern... the Republicans have a conservative approach to the budget...by the time the budget is working.. and the plan.. Democrats are in office (taking the credit for what the Republicans did)... Then it goes to hell.. and Republicans are back in office to fix what the Democrats did...

It's usually the Democrats who screw it up.. and the Republicans come in and fix it... Then they fix it.. the Deomocrats come in and screw it up again...

Under George W. Bush, the Federal Government has ballooned to record high proportions. And still you have the incorrect misperception that Democrats are Big Government. Under Dubbya and a 6 yr. run of G.O.P. Congress, spending hit record highs, yet taxes were lowered. That means ONE BILLION dollars a day is borrowed by our Gov't. from Communist China to pay for this governments spending spree under G.O.P. ... Now, WHO'S THE DUMB ONE? You really on age old misperceptions and misconceptions rather than actually learning what this Presidents criminal administration has done.

Normally i read a blog and move on, however, your mouth is so foul i must comment. It is the Republican party sticking it to the middle class and poor, and making the top 3% of the rich, even richer. It's statistically proven. The middle class is shrinking and more are falling into lower class income. Republicans stroke the rich and fool the simple minded. You put your ignorance on this matter on display for all to see. And I thank you for that Bill.

Sorry Bill, I do think that the democratic party stands for what I believe in It took the republicans quite a while to ruin the economy but they always do.
