Blog Entry 80 of 82 Baseball, football, the Grateful Dead,Jesus and me
Could be politics, religion, music, sports, family life or anything in-between and outside the lines. (I refuse to say "outside the box," even if my chosen line means exactly the same thing) Chronologically, I'm 40. The consensus among those who know me best puts me somewhere between 10 and 13 in terms of maturity. I love listening to Jimmy Buffett, the Grateful Dead, the Allman Brothers and all acts Country (except the Dixie Chicks who offended my long-held,closed-minded view of decent behavior) I have deep, strong beliefs in all things I believe in and sometimes in things I don't. I pride myself in my contradictory nature even though it is a sign of weakness to change one's mind. I have been known to waver more than John Kerry talking about national defense, though I remain steadfast in my beliefs. I am prepared to argue to the death on one issue and one issue alone; Dickey Betts should be allowed back in the Allman Brothers. On this, there is no compromise. I believe in compromise in all other areas so long as the compromise includes everything that I want or believe in. In all seriousness, I am a lucky man, blessed with a wonderful family and an uncanny ability to not care about anything if the situation requires such. I believe that minds are like parachutes in that they have been known to fail their user, albeit with a slightly lower fatality rate. So that's me, or at least that's kind of me. I mean, I felt that way right before I didn't.

Colorado Dems silent on abusive dad

Slap, Choke Your Teen Daughter -Dems Approve!
or at least they don't disapprove

Defy Restraining Order - Dems silent!

Why?

Because Vince Chowdhury is a Democrat.

The state Democrat Party, as well as the majority of Colorado's media is ignoring the fact that a man attacked his daughter and during the attack looked at his wife and reportedly said, "You're next!."

Vince Chowdhury is a Democrat candidate for House District 22. The facts of the assault aren't in question. Chowdhury pleaded guilty. That begs the question: Where's the outrage?

By the bully's own account, he "lost it" because he sat in the driveway for one to two minutes, honking the horn, before his wife finally opened the garage door. If that weren't enough, the cowardly democrat raged at his wife and daughter, demanding an apology.

According to his wife, Chowdhury believed his daughter was "mocking" him when she apologized.

All the more reason to slap and choke a sixteen year old girl!

Vince Chowdhury is a sap. He's a coward and a disgrace to men everywhere. Lucky for him, he's also a registered democrat. That fact makes it sure that his transgression will be shielded from the public.

If only he were republican. Then the press would run with the story, gleefully destroying Chowdhury's reputation and joyously dragging him through the mud.

Lucky for the lazy bully Vince Chowdhury, he has the Colorado State Democrat Party to hide behind. Has anyone in the party called for his withdrawal from the race? Has anyone denounced his behavior?

According to published reports, Jefferson County Democrat Party Chairman Dick Barkey said, "Right now the timing for a comment would be totally inappropriate."

Since when is it inappropriate to comment on an admitted bully's attack on a defenseless young girl? Isn't it "totally inappropriate" to slap and choke a sixteen-year-old girl?

Of course, the appropriateness of bullying and felonious assault is relative . . .to party affiliation.

If the bully is a democrat in Colorado, it's inappropriate to comment on thuggish misbehavior.

Dave Thomas, vice chair of Jeffco Dems, is Chowdhury's attorney. Makes it clear why the democrat party won't denounce Chowdhury's cowardly attack on his daughter.

What I don't get is why there isn't more public outcry. Clearly, Vince Chowdhury is an angry, short-tempered man who preys on those weaker than himself -- par for the course for today's democrats.

Politics aside, how can anyone side with a man who became enraged when he had to wait "one to two minutes" for his wife to open the garage door?

The lazy, arrogant coward couldn't get his butt out of his car to open the door himself? Apparently, he's not disabled, since he was able to slap and choke his daughter and threaten his wife. He scared them so badly that they had no choice but to call the police for protection.

Where's the outrage? Why isn't the local press all over this?

Oh, to be a registered Democrat in Colorado! Must be nice for the lower life forms hereabouts. Beat your kid . . . threaten your wife . . . the Colorado Dems got yer back!

Glad I'm a republican. You know, until someone catches me driving an SUV.

If it weren't for this blog I would have never have heard of this. And here come the Democrat apologists, right on cue!! I'm shaking my head in disbelief... Since when do we justify a wrong with a wrong? The guy clearly hasn't got the temperament for public office. Get rid of him! I don't care what party he belongs to!!

I always enjoy your blog, but I think your anger has gotten the better of you here. First, this situation is NEVER appropriate, no matter the party affiliation. Second, I was beaten to near death by a Republican who was personally appointed by Gov Bill Owens (also a Rep) to the State Division for Developmentally Disabled. You have no idea how much pressure was put on the criminal case to be swept under the rug because of how bad it would look for Owens. Justice was swept under the rug to save face for the Republican Party. Abuse is not a Democratic convention - it is a characteristic of narcissism, a trait the republican party tends to pride itself on.
