What I do: Mortgage banker for 13 years, working in banking and finance for 25 years
My favorite place in town to hang out: My own backyard, enjoying my family and my neighbors.
What I like most about living here: the sense of volunteerism.
My interests and hobbies: museum trips, board games, music, and puzzles of any kind.
My favorite thing to cook: Manicotti, pies or anything else that my Italian grandmother taught me how to cook
People who inspire me (and how): My father, a WWII veteran who grew up during the Depression but lives his life in abundant blessing; and my mother, the jolliest woman in town, who makes a celebration wherever she goes.
How I have contributed to the community: Past Chairman Arvada Chamber of Commerce, Graduate Leadership Jefferson County, graduate Arvada Citizen Police Academy, current student Transit Alliance Citizen Academy, past participant in RailVolution - national conference on mass transit. Served on first Arvada Festivals Commission, Founding Board Member Women's Business Network, extensive volunteer work with Arvada Chamber of Commerce, Arvada Covenant Church, Habitat for Humanity and other organizations.
The biggest issues facing Arvada now: Responsible retail development so that Arvada citizens can maintain quality of life and spend their dollars here at home, transportation, future revenue streams
