Blog Entry 19 of 36 The Economic Illiterate
I hate politics. I didn't use to but somewhere between now and about 12 years ago politics has become a one-way street. It seems that anyone who is into politics knows only their street and it has become frustrating. I believe I can make the better argument (for the conservative side that is) with just the facts nearly every time. When it comes to mainstream discussion, I don't believe I've met my match. And it has gotten me all the way to nowhere and back again. But the free markets are a different story. It is a subject that one can study forever and never truly be an expert. To some degree we're all economically illiterate, some more than others. I would likely write mostly about the economic peril we face in this country. Of course if I see anything ridiculous posted by some leftie, I may find it difficult not to jump in even though I know it won't have any effect whatsoever.

John McCain naively wanted to run a clean campaign. He refused to bring up the sordid relationships Obama had with Bill "wish I blew up more things" Ayers, Reverend "God Damn America" Wright, and Palestinian terrorist Rashid Khalidi, whom the LA Times allegedly has video of Obama toasting. For his attempts of a clean campaign, he gets flipped the bird by the "presidential" Barack Obama. If you want to argue this was innocent, save it. He did the same thing to Hillary Clinton during the primaries. This was not an accident or coincidence.

Speaking of the derelict press, who is unquestionably in the tank for Obama, would the LA Times refuse to release a tape if it were John McCain toasting a Palestinian terrorist? Hardly.

Would the media give McCain a pass if his aunt had been living in the country illegally for the past 4 years? Would they believe him if his explanation was, "Hey, I didn't know she was illegal!"

Would the media suppress important news about McCain's claim that his cap & trade plan will bankrupt the coal industry if he admitted it?

Obama is quoted as saying, "We will put a cap & trade system that's as aggressive if not more aggressive than anyone else's out there... If somebody wants to build a coal power plant, they can. It's just that it will bankrupt them because they are going to be charged a huge sum for all that greenhouse gas that's being emitted."

No, Senator. It won't bankrupt them because we need that electricity. They will pass on your tax to us for the "huge sum" that you are going to charge!! Admit it Senator, this is a tax on all American people who pay electric bills
.

America gets 49% of its electricity from coal and Colorado gets nearly 85% of its electricity from coal. Tell me Senator, who is really going to pay the price for your cap & trade tax on the American people in a time of economic hardship?

It turns out the San Francisco Chronicle deliberately covered up his remarks. Surprise, surprise.

While Barrack Obama proudly claims that he "wants to spread the wealth around," his aunt is living illegally in abject squalor in a Boston slum and his brother is living on $30 on month in Kenya. Apparently, the hypocritical Obama will spread your wealth around while ignoring the plight of his own family.

I hope no one is mistaking this guy for someone who is compassionate. I hope no one is mistaking this guy for someone who is truthful. I hope no one is mistaking this guy for someone who is objective about preserving Americans' constitutional rights.

I hope the folks aren't foolish enough to actually vote this marxist into the White House!
