If you have a little free time the afternoon of September 7, 2008, you might want to find your way down to Metropolitan State College at 7 th and Lawrence for the Fourth Annual Denver Food and Wine Classic presented by US Foodservice in cooperation with Southern Wine and Spirits and the Colorado Restaurant Association.

Beginning at 1:00 p.m. and lasting until 5:00 p.m., the event will offer guests the opportunity to sample the tastes of 27 of Denver's culinary establishments as well as 300 different wines. There will also be a wine auction, a "Steel Chef" competition and numerous culinary demonstrations. If you like to dine on the best of the city, The 2008 Denver Food and Wine Classic offers the opportunity to find and taste a wide variety of the city's offerings without a lot of travel.

The event hopes to raise over $150,000 for various charities by charging just $55 each for tickets.
