SCRAP IRON CLASSIC 2008

What:	The fourth annual Scrap Iron Classic. The Scrap Iron Classic is a senior softball tournament that will be held August 5-10, 2008 at Clement Park in Littleton and Shafer Sports Complex in Lakewood. The event is open to teams in age groups from 50 to 75. 70+ and 75+ teams will play August 5, 6, 7. 60+ and 65+ teams will play August 6, 7, 8. 50+ and 55+ teams will play August 9, 10. It is a qualifing tournament for the Softball Players Association and Senior Softball-USA national championships. It is also the Rocky Mountain Regional qualifier for the U.S. National Senior Games to be held in the San Francisco area in 2009. In conjunction with the tournament, there will be a party at Coors Field on the evening of August 6th with a buffet dinner in the Platt River Rendezvous followed by the Rockies game with the Washington Nationals. Event Dates:	This event takes place every Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday, Saturday, and Sunday from 8/5/2008 through 8/10/2008.
