Girl Scout Troop 299,with 10 members from Arvada and Westminster, said Y.E.S. to Disney World during a magical adventure in Florida. The Disney Y.E.S. (Youth Education Series) program is the ultimate learning experience.
The troop members attended 'Energy and Waves', part of Disney's World of Physics. They experienced numerous Magic Kingdom attractions that incorporate optics, acoustics and magnetism into their presentations.
The Y.E.S. program culminated with a behind the scenes tour into the Haunted Mansion ballroom and exploration of life underneath the ride. One special morning, before the Magic Kingdom opened to the public, the troop members met with Minnie Mouse for a special bridging ceremony to become Senior Girl Scouts. During their week in Disney World they visited the Magic Kingdom, Epcot, Disney's Animal Kingdom and Hollywood Studios, meeting many Disney Characters, seeing Broadway level shows and riding all the roller coasters Disney has to offer.
