Bridging the gap

Stott Elementary 2nd grader, Brea Gibson, reads a story to Springwood Retirement Center residents George Anders and Jan Hart in Arvada on Feb. 6, 2009. Stott 2nd grade teacher, Dawn O'Connor wanted to help bridge the generation gap so took advantage of the proximity of Springwood right next door to schedule once a month visits when her students engage residents in games and reading activies.
