In Appreciation of Local Educators!


A Special Celebration at Borders in Northglenn

Every day in the classroom, at home, and within school libraries around the country, educators share the love of books and knowledge with their students daily. To honor this commitment to education and community service, Borders-Northglenn will be recognizing local teachers, homeschoolers, professors, religious educators, and school librarians with a special Educator Appreciation Weekend, Friday, October 3 - Sunday, October 5.

During this appreciation event, all current and retired educators will enjoy 25% off personal and classroom purchases of list priced books, CDs, DVDs, cafe items, gifts & stationery and more.* And, to kick-off the weekend, Borders-Northglenn will be hosting a Special Educator Reception, Friday, October 3 from 4:00 - 8:00 PM. In addition to fun, food, giveaways, and savings at this reception, there will also be wonderful prizes given out, including:

-- An AUTOGRAPHED copy of Frank McCourt's "Teacher Man;"

-- A basket full of beautiful children's picture books;

-- FREE copies of the best-selling book " The Last Lecture;"

This event is open to current and retired PreK-12 teachers, librarians, principals, homeschoolers, professors, student teachers, religious educators, school support staff and other educators. According to a national survey on educator buying trends, on average, two thirds of educators teaching kindergarten through twelfth grade spend $400 a year of their own money on books, puzzles, and other supplies for their classrooms. Borders-Northglenn wants to help make these purchases more affordable and provide local educators with the opportunity to enjoy special events and savings throughout the entire event.
