Children Cook On The 4th Of July
This 4th of July weekend while your parents are grilling the hot-dogs; you can help with your family's celebration by making a fruit salad. (The recipe is in the slide show.)
Good cooking requires organization. First, you need to get your parent's permission and help to buy the ingredients. Look over the slide show with a pencil and paper, write down all the ingredients you will need. Check and see if mom or dad would prefer a different type of fruit; make sure no one in your family is allergic to any of your ingredients. Go along on the trip to the store; be sure to take your list! While at the store think about how much each ingredient costs; what is your recipe going to cost all together?
