We have recently adopted a Special Needs Puppy from the Denver Dumb Friends League and need more places to take her where she can see people walking by.
Our new puppy was not exposed to people and the world during the first 5 months when she should have been learning these things, so now we need to find quiet places where we can sit and reward her with treats when people go by. We have been taking her to Majestic View Park (70th and Estes) which is a great place for this, but it would be nice to find some others with walking paths frequented by people on weekends. Benches to sit on that are near the path would be a plus!
The Arvada City website has a long list of city parks, but many are deserted or don't have a footpath we can sit near. Does anyone have a favorite Arvada park that might be good for us to visit? We live near 80th and Kipling, but any nice place in the area would be OK.
Now that it gets dark so early, a place that is open in the evening would be great, too (the parks close at sunset).
Thanks! Glenn and Merri
