Attorney Ken Fellman of Denver-based Kissinger & Fellman P.C. has been designated the president-elect of the National Association of Telecommunications Officers and Advisors (NATOA).
Fellman will assume the presidency in September 2010. The responsibilities will not affect his commitment as partner of Kissinger & Fellman.
"I am sincerely honored to be chosen by NATOA members to serve in a leadership role for the organization," Fellman said. "The next few years will be critical as technology continues to change the way local governments interact with and serve their citizens. I look forward to working with all NATOA members, and the new administration next year, to advance community interests in communications."
Based in Alexandria, Va., NATOA is a national association that represents the communications needs and interests of local governments and those who advise local governments. Its membership is predominately composed of local government agencies, local government staff and public officials, as well as consultants, attorneys, and engineers who consult local governments on their telecommunications needs.
Fellman's primary area of legal expertise is in local government and telecommunications law, and he serves as general counsel for the Greater Metro Telecommunications Consortium, an intergovernmental agency comprised of 31 local governments in metro Denver. He represents local governments throughout Colorado and nationally on a wide variety of cable and telecommunications issues.
