Carnival Crazy!
Contributed by: katie greer on 9/28/2008

Warder Elementary hosted its first carnival in a number of years, much to the delight of all who attended. The early evening of September 18th was off to a delicious start with dinner catered by Carrabba's Italian Restaurant. A scrumptious meal of chicken marsala and pasta marinara was enjoyed picnic-style on the grassy hill overlooking the carnival festivities.

A giant Bronco-themed inflatable welcomed the Warder families and community members who joined us. Our teachers and staff were busy all evening long, even as the sun dropped behind the mountains, running ten action-packed game booths such as FlIp-A-Frog, Poster Toss, Soccer Kick and Crossbow Darts. There was a winner every time at each game and the prize table was hopping as kids made their choices. Carnival-goers munched on crunchy popcorn and delicious cotton candy as they talked with friends and watched the fun.

Squeals of delight were heard as friends and families participated in other terrific events like a cake walk sponsored by Student Council, face painting, temporary tatoos and a rope bridge sponsored by the Cub Scouts.

It was a memorable evening that was a huge success in bringing together friends, families and folks from the community.
