CD-2 Candidates Face Off July 28 on Channel 12

DENVER - (July 21, 2008) - Congressional District 2 Democratic Primary candidates will face off in a debate Monday, July 28, at 8 p.m. on KBDI-Channel 12 in the Colorado Decides election series.

The 60-minute debate of candidates Joan Fitz-Gerald, Jared Polis and Wil Shafroth will be hosted by KBDI's Aaron Harber with journalists Molly Hughes of CBS4 - KCNC-TV and Rocky Mountain News reporter Todd Hartman.

The Colorado Decides series, presented by a partnership of CBS4 News, the Rocky Mountain News and KBDI, is providing Colorado voters unparalleled access to election information, candidates and issues.

On August 8, Colorado Decides will continue its election coverage with a Pre-Primary Election Special. The special will feature a panel of Colorado Decides analysts including KBDI's Aaron Harbor, CBS 4's Terry Jessup and Rocky Mountain News reporter Lynn Bartels.

All of the taped Colorado Decides debates will be available on all three partners' websites: www.kbdi.org, www.rockymountainnews.com, and www.cbs4denver.com.
