My name: Sara Gagliardi

My age: 50 years

My family: Jack, husband of 19 years he is a civil engineer for U.S. Bureau of Reclamation, son Gordon and wife Michelle both 30 years old and live in Commerce City, Gordon works for GSA and Michelle teaches and Northglenn Middle School science, 2 children, Molly 4 yrs and Colton 2 years. Chris and wife Stacy are both 29 and live in Wheatridge, Chris drives a truck with Rodeway and Stacy stays at home with 2 sons Ryland 5 yrs. And Britton 3 yrs. Tony 15 years at home with us and sophomore at Arvada West High School, plays High school baseball. 2 cats whiskers and patches 5 years.

Education: I graduated from Estherville, Iowa High School 1976 and Nursing School 1977

What I do: I am a nurse at Kaiser part time.

My favorite place in town to hang out: Favorite place to hang out is Mile High Stadium and Coors Field

What I like most about living here: I love the mountains and the community and the beauty of Colorado and the opp. Of the city. Love the people.

My interests and hobbies: I like to play the piano, garden and spend time with my family and friends. Love to read

My favorite thing to cook: I love to bake and make a great lasagna and home made bread.

People who inspire me (and how):

How I have contributed to the community: I attend Arvada West High School Accountability Committee to stay informed and involved with the school as our son is a sophomore there. I am the Treasure for Arvada Northwest Business and Professional Women and work with the schools in our community and helping women go back to school, I am a member of the League of Women Voters, teach at Spirit of Christ Catholic Church Sunday school. I host 2 coffees a month and host a town hall the first Saturday of every month at the Susan Duncan YMCA.
I have contributed by being involved and having a voice and being a responsible leader.

The biggest issues facing us now: I believe that some of the biggest issues we are facing and that I hear as I walk the district is the economy, gas prices, grocery prices, healthcare, education, homelessness is on the rise in Arvada, and also roads and bridges .We did a lot of great work these last 2 years and have a lot more to do.

Why I am running: I ran for public office to represent all the people of Arvada and to be sure we have a voice as a community and to improve communication for our city at the state level.
