Pomona High student receives top honors
Contributed by: Stephen Blea on 4/11/2008

Pomona High School junior student Tarryn Sanchez received the Colorado High School Activities 1st Team All Academic Award.

Miss Sanchez was also honored as Top Junior Poms. Tarryn maintains over a 4.0 grade point average, and is also a member of band. poms, show choir and drama department. Tarryn will also be Pomona's Drum Major next year and she plays the flute and piccolo and recently played a part in Pomona's highly acclaimed play Les Miserables.

Tarryn is a positive role model for her peers. Not only is she an outstanding student involved in all her school activities, Tarryn also works part time for Mountain States Employers Council, Inc. as well.

As her boss, it brings me great delight to write this story about a remarkable young lady who is an inspiration for our next generation of young adults and our future leaders of the community.

"Goals and dreams can come true if you work at it!"

Congratulations, Tarryn!! Go Pomona !!!!!!
