The five-kilometer (3.1-mile) fundraising walkathon begins and ends in Denver's beautiful CheesmanPark. Registration begins at 8:30 a.m. and the opening ceremony begins at 10 a.m.CBS4 viewers are invited to walk with family, friends, co-workers and teammates to raise critically needed funds and to send a clear message that AIDS is still a cause demanding attention.
Over the last 21 years, AIDS Walk Colorado has attracted
163,000 participants who have
raised more than $17 million to support the work of
45 AIDS Service and Education organizations throughout Colorado.
AIDS Walk Colorado is the largest AIDS fundraiser in the Rocky Mountain Region, attracting over 7,000 participants a year. It benefits Colorado AIDS Project and the fundraising teams of 30 other AIDS service and education organizations throughout the state of Colorado.
