Million-dollar chickens help at-risk kids
Contributed by: barry brown on 3/27/2007

Splendid, unique, hand-made eggs are now at Fiori di Flavio in Olde Town Arvada. Artisans have crafted these treasures to help at-risk kids get the help they need at Lost and Found Inc. - therapeutic and treatment center in Arvada, and other locations across the state.

Kathy Luciano owns Arvada's friendliest flower shop where these beautiful eggs are a gift in exchange for a donation to her favorite charity.

"Whenever these kids come by, they are helpful and courteous. They are just terrific. They even drop by on their way to work or school. I love helping them in this way and I want everyone to join me in helping them work toward a healthy future."

Among the gifts available are beautiful golden eggs, decorated with Faberge-like patterns and crystals; Ukrainian patterned eggs of red, blue and green; eggs covered with Ukrainian postage stamps; eggs encased in origami papers; and kitschy colored eggs in "Martha Stewart" paper baskets, daffodils, and bunnies. All of these creations were crafted by volunteers from Lost and Found Inc.
