Colorado Couple Celebrates 60th Anniversary
On 6/22/2006
Contributed by: Paul Gale on 8/24/2006

Connie and Richard Koller M.D. have recently celebrated their 60th wedding anniversary with their seven children Kelly, Patty, Richard Jr., Paul, Jennifer, Mark and Judy along with extended family during several fun events.

Connie met Richard at Lowry Field during WWII when Rich was stationed there. Connie worked in the mail room. She picked him out as the BEST looking G.I. she could find. They dated for two and one half years until the war was over, and then were married at St. Catherine's Church in North Denver.

After a couple of children, Rich went to study pre-med at Regis College under the G.I. Bill, and then attended medical school at Colorado University. He graduated in 1956.

Many patients will remember him from 4485 Wadsworth Blvd. in Wheat Ridge where he practiced medicine for 30 years. Many of these same patients still recognize him when they see him at local events.

Connie and Rich have 11 grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren. All seven of the children still live in Colorado. Why live anywhere else!!!
