Madigan Olivia St. George -- or soon to be widely known as Molly -- was born at 1:20 p.m. on Tuesday, May 17, 2005, in St. Joseph's Hospital in Denver. Pink and perfect.

Her parents are Petra and Brian St. George of Arvada. Grandparents are Michael and Julie Madigan, also of Arvada, and George and Janice St. George of Sylvania, Georgia.

Molly weighed 7 lbs., 10 ounces and, not to wait in her mother's and grandmother's long shadows, measured 20.5 inches long.

While the parents knew for some time that they would have a daughter, they delayed until the last hours before her birth to officially choose Petra's maiden name to go with "Olivia." Exactly when?

"It was yesterday," Dad said after Petra's long labor, "when we saw that she was so stubborn."
