Samantha Pauler, my student hero
On 5/1/2007
Contributed by: Pat Pauler on 5/24/2007

My daughter, Samantha Pauler, is my hero! She is graduating from Arvada High School on May 25. She has worked hard in both her high school studies and is also working toward getting her associate in applied science degree in welding through Red Rocks Community College. She has already completed two years through Warren Tech (paid through her high school program) and is the only female in the welding program. This two-year program applies credit toward her associates degree and then she hopes to transfer to the Colorado School of Mines to get a degree in metallurgy.

She was a student ambassador in the National Technical Honor Society for the past two years and was recently awarded the Presidents Gold Award and a scholarship for 12 credit hours at Red Rocks to be applied to her upcoming studies. She was chosen for the My Student My Hero award for Warren Tech through the Jefferson Foundation.

After overcoming a serious health issue in the 11th grade, she was able to maintain her studies and achieved an overall gpa of 3.50 with a 4.0 GPA at Warren Tech. Keep your eyes out for further information on the welder chick of Arvada!
