Contributed by: Richard Burton on 8/18/2005

The Arvada High School Class of 1965 is having our 40th reunion Aug 26, 27, and 28, 2005. All events are casual. Donations will be accepted. Friday, Aug 26, we are having a social at Steve Brown’s Home Cookin Café, 16255 W. 64th Ave (W. 64th Ave and Quaker St) in Arvada beginning at 6PM until ?. Light snacks and soft drinks will be provided. Saturday, Aug 27, the Arvada High School Museum, 7951 W. 65th Ave (east entrance) (one block west of Wadsworth on W. 66th Ave) will be open from 10am to 2pm. Later on Saturday, from 2-4PM, we have arranged for a tour of the Arvada Flour Mill Museum, 5590 Wadsworth Blvd in Old Town Arvada. At 3:30PM, we are having a photo session and then head to the D-Note, also in Old Town Arvada, 7519 Grandview Ave (the old Eakers store) from 4PM to ?. There will be a DJ playing “our” music with light snacks and soft drinks available as well as a cash bar. The place is ours until it opens to the public around at 730pm, and we can stay as long as we like. Sunday, August 28 we will have a picnic (bring your own food and drink) at the North Jeffco Park (Pavilion) near Ralston and Garrison behind the pool. It is also Arvada Historical Society’s Annual Picnic so there will be lots of people to visit with besides AHS Class of 1965. Look for our canopy. Hope to see you at any or all events.
