Arvada Trails Day citizen bike ride

On June 7th meet Bill Orchard (303-422-9468) at 8:45am at the Majestic View Park Trailhead Parking Lot for the 7th Annual "Arvada Celebrates Its Trails" bike ride for National Trails Day. (Directions: Take I-70 to Wadsworth, north to 72nd Ave, west to just past Carr St, parking lot is on the south side.) The group will head west along Ralston Creek Trail (of course!) and then up (and we mean up!) to Spring Mesa for a snack break and spectacular view of the front range. The route follows the new Moon Gulch Trail to 72nd Ave and stops at Two Ponds National Wildlife Refuge before returning to Majestic View Nature Center for the free lunch (including vegan dogs, Susan). This is a 20 mile ride on concrete, macadam, gravel and dirt with one short portage. This is a fun, recreational ride, not a race. Leave your skinny tires . . . . and skinny legs at home.
