The 7th Annual Gold Strike Festival will be held June 21 and 22 in Olde Town Arvada. This event will be held on the 158th anniversary of Lewis Ralston's documented discovery of gold on June 22, 1850 in Ralston Creek in Arvada. The festival runs 11am until 10pm on Saturday and 11am until 5pm on Sunday.
This year's event includes a kid and pet parade, train rides, mini-carnival, pie baking contest, Firemen chili cook-off, live music,100 food and vendor booths, ice cream social, gold panning, frontier village reenactment, beer garden, treasure hunt, historic presentations, classic car show, library story times, free moustaches and much more.
The event committee is looking for volunteers to help out during this year's festival. They need greeters, guides, vendor check-in clerks, monitors, errand runners, setup and strike helpers, beer garden workers, etc. Come and enjoy the festival and volunteer while you're here.
