Roundabout under construction at 80th and Alkire

The city of Arvada and the Jefferson County School District have begun construction of a traffic roundabout on West 80th Avenue west of Alkire Street, at the main entrance to Ralston Valley High School.

Construction should be completed by Aug. 1, prior to the start of the 2008-2009 school year. Until project completion, W. 80th Avenue will be closed to through traffic between Alkire Street and Indiana Street. W. 80th Avenue will be open to local traffic for access to Ralston Valley High School from both Alkire Street and Indiana Street.
