Hit and run crash near the town of Leyden


Colorado State Patrol Needs Assisting Locating a Hit and Run Driver

Sometime between 12/09/08 at 11:00 p.m. to 12/10/08 8:30 a.m., a hit-n-run crash occurred at the northeast corner of Quaker & 79th Place, Jefferson County. This is just south of the Town of Leyden. An unknown vehicle drove off the right side of the roadway, after the driver failed to properly negotiate a left hand curve. The vehicle destroyed a Qwest cable junction box, white spilt-rail/chain-link fence and two pine trees. The vehicle will have severe right front damage at a minimum. The vehicle was pulled out by an unknown vehicle. This vehicle/driver fled the scene without providing any information to the property owner or calling any Law Enforcement Agency.
