SAFEWAY ROBBED BY MAN WITH NOTE
On Nov. 19 at 5:11 p.m., officers were dispatched to the Safeway grocery store at the 9500 block of W. 58th Avenue. A store employee told police that a white male appearing in his 40s, with a mustache, approached the front counter of the customer service area and presented a note demanding money. The employee told police that the man was at the counter for "only a few seconds" before exiting out the south-side doors to an unknown location. After conducting a search, police could not locate the male in the area.
MAN PUNCHES WALL OVER BILLS
On Nov. 20 at 7:51 p.m., officers were dispatched to the 5000 block of West 65th Place in reference to a domestic disturbance. The 21-year-old reporting female told police that her husband punched a hole in the wall after he accused his wife of cheating. When officers contacted the 31-year-old male, he told police that he and his wife were fighting over bills and that the hole in the wall was accidentally caused by his elbow when he stumbled down the stairs and attempted to regain his balance. Officers detected a distinct odor of alcohol on the male's breath, to which the man said he only had "two beers." Due to conflicting statements between the husband and wife regarding the hole in the wall, no charges were filed by police. The male's mother arrived on the scene and police allowed the man to leave. Once outside, the male began experiencing "medical issues" and was transported to Lutheran Medical Hospital for treatment.
TEXAS MAN ARRESTED FOR HARASSMENT
On Nov. 20 at 4:17 p.m., officers were dispatched to the area of Brentwood and Oberon Roads regarding a report of an intoxicated party with a bloody face. Police contacted a while male wearing a leather black jacket and a black cowboy hat. The 40-year-old Texas resident said the dried blood was from his dogs and had been trying to locate where his dogs were bleeding from. When officers asked the man how much he had to drink, he said ,"A little bit." Police arrested the man and booked him at the Arvada Police Department. While in the booking area, the man repeatedly banged his head against the wall. When police asked what he was doing, the man said, "Nothing." The man was summoned by another law enforcement agency for a previous incident and released to their care.
