If you're looking for some excitement this summer, join the Kids' Summer Reading Club, "Flutter. Buzz. Zoom. Read!" and see what there is to be explored. The club is open to kids, elementary through age 12 and begins on June 1 through July 31.
Kids who read or listen to books for eight hours will receive a free paperback book on Book Award Day, or any day in August. Also, they will be entered into a prize drawing.
When kids are taking a break from reading, they can join us for our summer programs, including "Red Tail: The Mountain Man," "Bug People from Outer Space," "Flutterby" and more. Tickets are required and are available for free at any Jefferson County Public Library location. Find the complete list of programs in the Summer Reading Club brochure available at each of our libraries and on our web site.
