Arvada soggy .5K a super success
Contributed by: Susan Medina on 9/5/2008

(Arvada, CO) - More than 200 people braved heavy rainstorms to support children in need during the second annual (point) .5K Endurance Challenge held in Olde Town this past August.

"The good news is that the race lasted only 10 minutes!" said Donald Moseley, director of Ralston House. "In all seriousness, we greatly appreciate those who attended the race with their umbrellas and rain gear in support of Ralston House."

With more than 300 registrations and the generous contributions of Jefferson County businesses, Ralston House raised more than $6,000 during the event.

Ralston House is a family-friendly site where Jefferson County law enforcement and Human Service professionals assist children, who've been physically or sexually abused, through interviews and medical examinations. Hundreds of children visit the site each year to begin the healing process from these traumatic events.

Ralston House would like to thank the following businesses for their support of the .5K Endurance Challenge.
