Arvada Police Teen Academy Deadline Draws Near

(Arvada CO) - July 3 marks the registration deadline for the 2009 Arvada Police Teen Academy slated for the week of July 20.

If you're an Arvada teen between the ages 16 and 18 the Arvada Police Teen Academy will give you the opportunity to drive a patrol car, process a crime scene, and conduct a building search and many other activities to give you a glimpse into the work of police officers.

The academy will run July 20-24 at the Arvada Police Department, 8101 Ralston Rd.

The cost of the event free and students participating in the event will get a t-shirt.

To apply for the Teen Police Academy, students must have a valid driver's license and a GPA of at least 2.0. Contact www.arvadapd.org for an application.

Only 15 students will be admitted, so apply today! The deadline application is July 3, 2009.
