Nominate a student for an AWRSAY Youth Award
The Arvada Wheat Ridge Service Ambassadors for Youth (AWRSAY) offers a program that recognizes teens who otherwise have been missed through other award and scholarship opportunities. These students have overcome major adversities in their lives, ranging from health issues to drugs and crime within the family. They are determined to overcome these obstacles.
AWRSAY recognizes at least 60 deserving youth every year. Of these, 25 seniors are offered $750 scholarships to Red Rocks Community College. Throughout the year all honorees are provided leadership, recognition and educational opportunities
Nominating a student shows a teen that someone cares. By thoughtfully and carefully sharing their story, you provide them the opportunity to be recognized publicly. Among the dignitaries who annually participate in our recognition ceremony are state senators, mayors, college presidents and school superintendents.
Parents and community members are encouraged to nominate a deserving youth by completing the nomination form and then mailing or faxing it to AWRSAY Nominations? c/o: Dan Macy ?Red Rocks Community College, Arvada, ?5420 Miller St., Arvada, 80002. ?Fax: 303-420-9572 by Dec.11.
