According to the U.S. Fire Administration, more than 4,000 Americans die each year in fires and approximately 20,000 are injured. The fire protection combination of a working smoke alarm and a home fire sprinkler system can reduce the likelihood of death by more than 80%. Home fire sprinklers automatically contain a fire, preventing it from spreading. Only the sprinklers in the fire area are activated.
The Arvada Fire Protection District provides protection to the part of the city of Wheat Ridge that is north of Clear Creek.
