The Arvada Police Department's Records Unit is shifting from 24-hours of operation to more of a traditional business work schedule.
Starting Nov.21, the operating hours for the Records Unit will be 8 a.m. - 5 p.m., Monday thru Saturday and closed on Sundays.
"While the Records Unit will close after 5 p.m. there are many services you can access from the comfort of your own home," said Commander Foos of the Arvada Police Department. "You can visit the police department's web site (
www.arvadapd.org) to request a police report or even file a cold crime report with no suspect information."
The shift in hours will reflect a $169,000 savings each year.
Susan Medina is the public information officer for the Arvada Police Department.
