What if there was a party which hundreds of people attended from all over Arvada? What if all of those folks had food and ate in an extravagant decorated banquet room at the ArvadaCenter? What if nearly all of those people were politicians or financiers of political campaigns? Now, what if you knew that all of those people ate for free on your tax dollar? This is unfortunately the case in Arvada. Every year the Mayor of Arvada has an exclusive party all paid for by citizens' tax dollars? Were you invited? You paid for it. Why wasn't this discrepancy and obvious misuse of funds exposed in the press? Because, members of the press attended the party of course. Everyone was in on it and you paid for it but weren't invited. If this upsets you as a taxpayer please contact your Arvada representative and complain, or contact your state senator, they were at the party too.
