Walk in the shoes of an Arvada police officer
Contributed by: Susan Medina on 8/10/2006

The Arvada Police Department will host the 21st session of its Citizen's Police Academy (CPA) program beginning on Sept. 6 from 6:30 to 9:30 p.m. The program will be held on Wednesday evenings for 10 weeks, ending on Nov. 8.

The CPA is a unique opportunity for Arvada residents to learn about the police department firsthand from officers and civilian staff. Topics include crime scene investigation, criminal law, officer safety and evidence procedures.

Interested persons should contact Police Administration at 720-898-6673 for questions or to receive an application. There is no charge to attend the Citizen's Police Academy.

Applications must be received by Aug. 23.

Susan Medina is a public information officer for the Arvada Police Department.
