Boy Scout Troop 346 opens CO House of Rep.
Contributed by: Karen Holstein on 2/19/2007

Boy Scouts of Troop 346, Arvada, opened the Colorado House of Representative session on Friday morning, Feb. 16, as guests of Representative Sara Gagliardi. Present were Alex Bobroske, Reece Bolin, Jordan Connell, William Funk, Eric Gehrke, Marcus Holstein, Andrew McGrath and Davis Oaks, and Assistant Scoutmaster Martin Bobroske.

The boys were honored to open the House session by leading the Pledge of Allegiance. They also took a tour of the Capitol, listened to presentations in the Senate and worked on their Citizenship in the Community merit badge.

Governor Ritter also took time from his busy schedule to meet the scouts. Earlier in the week, Rep. Gagliardi and Arvada City Councilman Aaron Azari met with the scouts to discuss citizenship rights and responsibilities and government organization and duties. The scouts wish to thank all those who serve in government office.
