McGoff Takes Political Campaign to YouTube
Contributed by: Steve Caulk on 8/31/2007

Mark McGoff, candidate for Arvada's District 2 city council seat, has taken a page from the playbook of the nation's Presidential candidates and is using new media to reach voters.

Designed as the first in a series of videos posted on YouTube, McGoff is seen riding a bike and talking with passersby about his city council campaign and about his commitment to Arvada. He believes the city's system of parks and trails contribute greatly to the quality of life for its citizens.

"As a certified personal fitness trainer, I focus on healthy people in a healthy environment," said McGoff. "I want Arvada to continue to thrive as a vital, livable community for all residents."

This first video focuses on the need to finish Arvada's trail system and to maintain and improve local parks in an effort to encourage healthy outdoor activity for Arvada residents and to enhance the appearance of the community.

Future videos are planned to demonstrate McGoff's commitment to other issues concerning Arvada voters such as transportation, community renewal and fiscal management.

The video can be viewed at http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PzFWgFN5JD4.
