Five candidates vie for two seats on board of directors
On Tuesday, May 6, eligible voters in Apex Park and Recreation District (formerly North Jeffco Park and Recreation District) will have the opportunity to elect two directors to four-year terms on the board. Five citizens have announced their candidacy:
Michael J. Chadwick
,
Jack Monroe
,
Lee Humrich
,
Jeff Glenn
and
Vincent Davis
.
The two departing board members are President
Bob Loveridge
, who is leaving due to term limitations, and Vice President
John "Kibby" McKibbon
.
This five-member board serves its electorate by guiding the present and future of community recreation. This activity is an essential element of the community's quality of life ... and the district encourages voters to learn about the candidates and make an informed choice on May 6.
Polling places are open on May 6 from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. at the Apex Center, 13150 W. 72nd Ave., and the Community Recreation Center, 6842 Wadsworth Blvd. To apply for a mail-in ballot, call
Luann Levine
, designated election official, at 303-403-2518, or e-mail luannl@apexprd.org.
