Say “Happy Valentine’s Day” with a kitty valentine

So what is a valentine? This is what Merriam-Webster says: val•en•tine. Function: noun 15th century. 1: a sweetheart chosen or complimented on Valentine's Day. 2: a gift or greeting sent or given especially to a sweetheart on Valentine's Day; especially. A greeting card sent on this day. Something (as a movie or piece of writing) expressing uncritical praise or affection.

For all those kitty lovers out there, you can give a valentine with a picture of a cat or kitten for FREE, from Almost Home Adoptions for rescued cats. Almost Home adoptions is a wonderful, volunteer based, adoption center that provides clean quarters, nutritious food, fresh water, comfort and medical care 365 days a year. Perhaps more importantly they provide the much needed LOVE most of these kitties have never had.

These photos were taken by local artist Bob Krugmire, who then turned them into great valentine's greetings. All the cats and kittens used in the photos were once residents at Almost Home Adoptions, and now are in their permanent loving homes.

February 26, 2008 is Spay Day USA, but there are events throughout the month of February that support efforts to prevent the tragic situation of pet overpopulation.
