The October issue of Popular Photography and Imaging magazine features a picture of five Arvada kids --Tiffany, 14; Brian, 12; Nicole, 7; Jaime, 5; and Jessica
Wickersheim, 2. Popular Photographyand Imagingis the largest photo magazine in the world.

The children are sitting on Marshall Mesa in a field of flowers, with the Rocky Mountains in the background. To get a natural-looking group portrait, I encouraged the children to explore the field and identify wildflowers - and then snapped the photo with minimal posing. The children are delighted with the picture -- and with family on both the East and West Coasts, this was a great way to share an image of one of our family outings.

This photo shows the rest of the world how beautiful Colorado is.
