It was unseasonably warm on Saturday, October 18th for the 20th Annual Pomona Marching Festival, but the Kadets from Colorado Springs kept cool, placing first in both prelims and finals beating all comers. Their jazz-themed show wowed the audience and impressed the judges.
Air Academy showed the rest of the 4A field that they are poised to defend their 2007 title at the October 25th 4A/5A State Championship finals at Invesco Field at Mile High. Look for 2nd place
Legacy, who was the top 5A finisher at Pomona Fest, to make a bid for a three-peat as 5A State Champions.
Conifer was the top 3A band at Saturday's event.
