Arvada kite festival takes flight

The sky was filled with colorful kites as kids and adults alike participated in the annual Arvada Kite Festival held April 11 at Robby Ferrufino Park, 74th Avenue and Carr Drive.

The event featured kite contests, demonstrations from Foothills Kite Club, bouncy castles, face painting and community vendors.

The festival was rescheduled from April 4 due to severe weather forecasts.
