It really didn't stay in Vegas
Contributed by: Gladys Mercier on 10/28/2007

In February 2003, my son and daughter-in-law asked me if I would like to go to Las Vegas with them.

What a silly question, of course I wanted to go ... but! They had to go to Wayne Newton's show with me. I have been a huge fan of his for years. They were not thrilled but agreed to go to pacify me. Don and Janet were more into rock and roll. Don had heard Bob and I play Wayne's tapes while he was growing up.

We had great seats. I was surprised when I noticed that Don and Janet were enjoying his show as much as I was. They were laughing and having fun. I thought for sure they would be bored. He is such a good entertainer and was so much fun. I really enjoyed that evening in Las Vegas.

You can imagine how much I like this picture, especially when Wayne said, "Come here, pretty lady," to an older lady, me!

Gladys.

Gladys, that is awesome! Yeah, I heard Wayne is a great entertainer. I watched a biography on him on A&E one time.
