A Suite For a 91 Year Old Sweetie
Contributed by: Connie Isenburg on 9/5/2007

My mother-in-law, Gertrude (Trudy) Isenburg, is one of the most avid Rockies fans that I've ever known. She won't even take a phone call while they're playing, but is the first to call afterwards to express her opinion of the game!
She will be a young 91 years old on October 6th, and I can't think of a better surprise birthday gift for her than to sit in a suite and watch the Rockies play ball. My husband, Jim, and I have wanted her to experience a game at Coors Field, but it would be uncomfortable for her to use the stairs and sit in the stands.
There are five of us who are immediate family and live in this area that would help her celebrate an early birthday. It would be her decision whether or not to invite any others; possibly friends she has made through her senior aerobics classes!
The September 30th game is the closest to her birthday, and I submit this entry for that date. Besides that reason, we will all be in northern California on
September 19th to attend the wedding of her only granddaughter.
Attending her first Rockies game would be very special for a veryspecial woman, my fantastic mother-in-law, Trudy Isenburg.

Thank you for your consideration,
Connie Isenburg
