Chopstix is incredible! A+++
Contributed by: Dan Odell on 3/14/2008

This is my favorite restaurant in the whole world! So it would be an understatement to say I was shocked to read Stan's Dec. 21 review about Chopstix Asian Grill. Although, I do have to say I'm impressed with his knowledge of tofu - I guess I have a lot to learn about soy bean products. However, I strongly disagree with his assessment of this restaurant being Americanized.

My wife grew up in Taiwan, and has since been in the states for many years. Up until5 months ago, we were always on the lookout for a particular style of Asian food. The closest we could find to what she had experienced in her youth was in San Francisco's China Town. But after a friend (thanks again, Paul!) introduced us to Chopstix, we now eat there at least once a week. My wife says it is exactly like what she had in Taiwan. And this statement was confirmed when two of her friends from school came to visit us. They also thought the food was incredible, and again authentic to their Taiwanese experience.

I personally have tried about every dish on the menu. And I can honestly say that I have not eaten anything I did not like, or would not order again. I even enjoyed the seaweed soup, and believe me, that says a lot from a guy who grew up in Wyoming! Even my kids (also known as the pickiest eaters on the planet) love to eat there.

So if you're looking for someplace great to eat, give Chopstix a try. I have always found it very clean, the staff very friendly, and the menu has a great variety of wonderful food. It is easy to find on 9604 Ralston Road, behind King Soopers and across from the police station.

So, what shocked you about my review? I wrote it the way I saw it. The Szechuan Tofu was soft and the peppers were "flakes". I prefer my Szechuan tofu "woked" and my peppers whole. I didn't get that at Chopstix. Nonetheless, the restaurant was cute and many people seem to like their product. For me, when I want tofu, I'm heading for 6th and Garrison!

Speaking as a fellow fan of Chopstix, I agree completely. It's a fabulous restaurant, and those I've taken there agree. Speaking as Stan's girlfriend, I understand that he loves the way Szechuan Restaurant (6th & Garrison) prepares his tofu. I adore both eating adventures almost as much as I adore my Stan.

There are a couple of dueling piano bars in Seattle called Chopstix. Fun place. No food though.
